ADDICTION

You know what that is, dooncha…?
Addiction is a connection to the Pain gently—as opposed to Freedom, which is a connection to the Pain, not gently.

We are all connected to Pain, whether or not we choose to feel it.  Though most of us deny anything hurts—for fear of ever appearing weak—each and everyone of us owns some kind of Pain.

In our sensitive need to remain loving—while fighting the world and bashing ourselves—we hold our true feelings inside, where no one can hear what we are really thinking.
Holding important attitudes inside—for the sake of society, and for the sake of keeping a job—hurts.  Anything we hold inside hurts!  Think about it…it’s like trying to hold in urine, or stop your bowels…it hurts.

As a result of this chronic pain, we do not feel comfortable with our own hypocrisies and contradictions.  The endless discomfort drives the Addiction—as we smile when it would be more real to cry, force ourselves to be silent and cheerful, when the truth is—we are hurting inside.
We are in between opposing forces— pretending to be happy, and loaded with loving kindness, when all day long, we feel the subtle throbbing of pain.

How unfair the Expectation is to us!  When the members of a distorted union are pressured to show gratitude, happiness, and positive energy—less they feel under siege by their peers, or lose their job—when what they really want to do is scream their heads off, it enforces them to live in a constant battle ground.  Their heart is pulling in one direction, while their public display is pulling in another.  The harder they pull between their heart and their display, the more they crave their Addiction.  If they can’t reach their vice in quick time, they temporarily lose their cool—and have tiny explosions all around them.

Or they rise up and start a revolution.
(This website is not about encouraging a revolution—it’s about encouraging the opposite: calm.)
But to deny that a revolution is on the edges—and ready to explode any moment—is embarrassingly fake.

We can be real and admit that we are all addicted to something—in a never-ending drive to ease the pain of holding it all in.

Addiction is our salvation—here to help us hold it in.  If we keep shoveling things into our mouths and down our throats—or whatever pathway we choose to stuff—we can hold ourselves back from tellin’ it like it is!  That’s right, folks!  Don’t ever speak your mind, or let your true feelings shine with opinions!  Just keep your Addiction as close as you can get it!

What a mis-lead Addiction is!  What a lie we follow—as if temporary goodies could actually protect us from being honest and blurting the truth—when honesty is like the sky.  It is here forever.

Addiction is a mighty army.  However, if its force is not great enough to save the individual from his agony, his Truth could erupt into anger —and the man could publicly explode into a killer.
Public explosions have been happening more and more.  The vices, simply, do not appease everyone—as in the case of the sudden killer, who shows his true feelings at the expense of us all.

When his Crutch finally snaps and falls to the floor, he goes berzerk—his addiction no longer holds him in line, and he becomes society's worst nightmare.

Oh, dooo be careful of Addictionmy brothers, my sistersfor it is a very dangerous path.
